Changing lives by improving vision

Vision for a Nation is supporting the Government of Rwanda in an unprecedented initiative to provide all its citizens with access to eye care and affordable glasses.

One million Rwandans could have their vision improved with glasses. We are working closely with Rwanda’s Ministry of Health to build sustainable primary eye care services that will meet this need now – and long into the future.

The service is being provided through Rwanda’s extensive network of health centres by trained government nurses, enabling anyone in the country to receive professional eye care and glasses.

This will have a huge impact on the lives of people across Rwanda whose sight will be restored.
